Liane Molewyk Dalyellup Music Academy Director
Liane began her musical studies at the age of 6 when she commenced organ lessons with her first teacher, Eddie in Malaysia. Liane went on to study Piano, participating in the many Eistedfodd's throughout Victoria and sitting AMEB examinations in Piano and Musicianship. Liane was offered Cello lessons at High School and won a Double Bass Scholarship at the Canberra School of Music when she was 16. Liane moved to Western Australia in 1986 and studied Music Education at Edith Cowan University where she was awarded a Bachelor of Education Honours degree majoring in Music. During her university years she studied Piano under Michael Cole, a piano lecturer at WAAPA. In 1989 June Ashley, one of Liane's lecturers, invited her to work at the WA Music Academy as a group piano/musicianship teacher. Liane enjoyed this immensely and after a few years opened Unique Musique Academy in Wembley. During this time, Liane was approached by the Education Department to teach the group piano programme they offered. In 2006, Liane joined forces with Lynette Telfer and opened ISM Churchlands, a successful music school catering for over 330 students each week. In December 2008, Liane moved to Bunbury with her husband, also a music educator, and their two daughters. Liane opened ISM Bunbury in April 2009 to provide a quality music education to children in the Bunbury area. In January 2015, the school changed it's name to Dalyellup Music Academy.
