Liane Molewyk Dalyellup Music Academy Director
Liane began her musical studies at the age of 6 when she commenced organ lessons with her first teacher, Eddie in Malaysia. Liane went on to study Piano, participating in the many Eistedfodd's throughout Victoria and sitting AMEB examinations in Piano and Musicianship. Liane was offered Cello lessons at High School and won a Double Bass Scholarship at the Canberra School of Music when she was 16. Liane moved to Western Australia in 1986 and studied Music Education at Edith Cowan University where she was awarded a Bachelor of Education Honours degree majoring in Music. During her university years she studied Piano under Michael Cole, a piano lecturer at WAAPA. In 1989 June Ashley, one of Liane's lecturers, invited her to work at the WA Music Academy as a group piano/musicianship teacher. Liane enjoyed this immensely and after a few years opened Unique Musique Academy in Wembley. During this time, Liane was approached by the Education Department to teach the group piano programme they offered. In 2006, Liane joined forces with Lynette Telfer and opened ISM Churchlands, a successful music school catering for over 330 students each week. In December 2008, Liane moved to Bunbury with her husband, also a music educator, and their two daughters. Liane opened ISM Bunbury in April 2009 to provide a quality music education to children in the Bunbury area. In January 2015, the school changed it's name to Dalyellup Music Academy.
Judy Blair DMA Group Class Teacher
Judy began her piano studies at age 6 in Canberra. Throughout her school years she completed a number of piano and musicianship exams and played for her local church each week. Judy also studied dance for ten years, specializing in ballet, jazz and tap. Judy was given the opportunity to study violin in high school and she participated in the school orchestra for 4 years. Judy has always had a love of children and her desire to share her knowledge with them led her to complete a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies) majoring in Special Needs and Music. Judy taught for many years both in mainstream school settings and in Special Needs schools before coming to ISM Bunbury. Judy completed her group piano training in January 2009 and commenced working for ISM Bunbury (now DMA) April 2009. Judy has three children who are currently enrolled in the music school.
Mackenzie Molewyk - Private Teacher
Piano/Violin/Trumpet
Mackenzie began music studies at a young age through the International School of Music Westcoast. She loves all music and plays Violin, French Horn and Piano. Mackenzie has received numerous awards for her music including the South West Music Guild's Award for the Artist with the most Musical Ability and Potential in 2016. Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and has completed the Associate Diploma of Performance Modern Piano (Honours). She is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health as well-being is of particular interest to her. Mackenzie also loves to arrange and write music, as well as draw and create artworks.
Jorja Molewyk - Private Teacher
Piano/Flute
Jorja has studied music from a very young age and plays Piano, Flute, Cello as well as having studied Voice. Jorja is well qualified and has completed a Bachelor of Education (Primary), a Diploma of Modern Piano and a Certificate III in Music. Jorja loves film music and composing as well as being involved in vocal ensembles and productions including playing percussion in the South West Philharmonic Orchestra. She also loves to paint and sew in her spare time.
